Students Promoting Environmental Action at Temple University
Temple University in Philadelphia, PA has a special extra-curricular group known as Students for Environmental Action, or SEA. This group is dedicated to making the University a cleaner and more conservative place, and I am sure that they are hoping that their efforts will rub off on the rest of the city.Upon visiting their website, I noticed that there was a link to a page about Philadelphia's current recycling program and how it is actually failing. The ironic thing about this is that Philadelphia was the first major city in the United States that pushed to have a recycling program. Fortunately, one of the students from Temple had done some research and created a small website to educate others about Philly's program and the current state that it is in.
To learn more about the Students for Environmental Action at Temple University, you can visit their page at www.temple.edu/sea. I am pretty sure that most universities have environmental action groups, and I believe that several community and city colleges across the nation have them as well. Groups of students promoting environmental action are great not only for benefiting the colleges that they are at, but for helping the cities that surround them as well.

I hope that their efforts will not only 'rub off on the rest of the city' but further. And beyond America. Afterall, here I am thousands of miles away and appreciating their efforts.
I am glad to hear that. I hope that people don't assume that I am only thinking about the environment in the United States. That just happens to be where I am located so that's a lot of the news that I am subjected to. I hope that cities worldwide will follow each other's examples. It's great to have influences coming from several different parts of the globe.
