Ohio Environmental Protection Agency Fines Residential Builder
Although this issue is not earth shattering, I still felt as though I should mention it. Today, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency announced that Ross Estates, LLC, a local housing developer and builder, will pay a total of $20,400 in fines as a result of violating environmental regulations. The builder made changes to a local stream in order to make room for new properties, and this action was performed without proper authorization. As I mentioned before, this issue is not extremely serious and it will not have a major affect on the life of our planet. However, it does say something about where our world is going. As the demand increases for more residential neighborhoods and subdivisions, it is only inevitable that builders will continue to toy with some of our priceless natural features.

No, it's not an Earth-changing story, but I'm still glad you included it. Nice to see the courts looking out for the environment (and shady developers). Keep it coming.
